MAS PRESENTS received one of of the highest accolades at the Auburn Local Business Awards by winning the Most Outstanding Specialised Business of the Year in front of three hundred businessmen, politicians and entrepreneurs at Dooley's Lidcombe overnight. Managing Director Marco Selorio was also nominated as a finalist for the Most Outstanding Business Person of the Year. The special recognition gives us the affirmation that we are doing good for the community and we hope to provide our customers with more dynamic events in the future. MAS PRESENTS HOOPDREAMZ has been nominated and in the running for the Auburn Local Business Awards. The annual gala recognises the most outstanding local businesses in the region. MAS Presents are in the finals in two categories: Business of the Year and Outstanding Business Person of the Year. The awards presentation dinner will be held at Dooley's Lidcombe on September 10. It is such a privilege to get this recognition and we are very thankful to all our partners, suppliers and customers for the support.
BEATZBLITZES THROUGH URBANSTAR QUALIFIER
All-girl trio BEATZ from Bass Hill delivered a dynamic performance to blitz through the URBANSTAR Sydney Qualifier last Friday July 25 at Burwood RSL. The X-Factor group won their Open Adult division, while nine-year old Jared (Kids division) and Beatrina Faliuga (Teen division) won their respective categories. The three rising stars will be joined by fifteen other up-and-coming Sydney stars into the URBANSTAR preliminary finals in December. The final round of qualifiers will be held in Sydney on August 22 and Melbourne (September tbc)

Brand new URBANSTAR Talent Quest shows are happening in various Australian cities in July. URBANSTAR, the premiere breeding ground for up-and-coming Australian music and dance talent, will make its way to Brisbane (July 5), Wollongong (July 18) and Sydney (July 25). The URBANSTAR Talent Quest are launching a series of talent competitions that seek the best, unsigned artists across the country. There are two main divisions: Kids/Teens and Adult. The talent quest has been created to give upcoming and aspiring performers a platform to showcase their hidden talents.
Before X-Factor, last year’s URBANSTAR Sydney show unearthed Jai Waetford, winner of the Teen division. After generating plenty of buzz, the teenage sensation advanced into X-Factor and placed third overall in the reality television show. Urbanstar Sydney Open champion Jacinta Gulisano also got into the Final Four of X-Factor with singing group Third Degree. Finalist and rapper Amethyst (Regal) or now better known as Iggy Azalea competed in Urbanstar back in 2007. Other former champions include William Singe from X-Factor's The Collective, Shavaun Marie (National Champion 2012) and Courtney Teixeira (National Champion 2013).
For the URBANSTAR NATIONAL WINNER, the grand prize include $1000 worth of merchandise, cash, music studio recording and an opportunity to perform on stage with a Grammy Award-winning American R&B group in December 2014.
