The WORLD SUPREMACY BATTLEGROUNDS International Dance Championship (WSB) is opening its doors to international dance crews from around the world. Sydney, Australia is the perfect backdrop to the biggest street dance competition in the Southern Hemisphere.
In its 9th year of international competition, WORLD SUPREMACY BATTLEGROUNDS will be held on December 6-8, 2013 at the renowned Sydney Olympic Park, home of the Sydney Olympics. The cavernous Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre Arena is the ideal venue with 2,016 square metres of magnificent open space that can accommodate for up to 5,000 people.
In the last two years, over 100 million viewers received news about the WSB Championship through social media, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. WSB footage was broadcast by major television networks from New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia.
WSB founder and hip hop impresario Marco Selorio believes the growing appetite for WSB will continue in 2013.
“WSB has been the perfect breeding ground for rising dance stars. The hip hop dance phenomenon has been embraced globally by the youth and we are at the forefront of street dance culture in the country. This is an opportunity for international dancers to share their creativity, passion and skills to their fellow dance peers. We want to invite the rest of the world to WSB to join the growing street dance movement in our region and see the beauty of Australia.”
WSB will have ten categories in 2013, including group divisions Junior, Varsity, Open, Monster Crew, High School Monster Crew and the new All Styles Battle divisions. The new battle divisions include the Freestyle division (1-on-1), KIDS division (1-on-1), BBOY division (1-on-1) and the All Styles 5v5 Crew Battle (5-on-5).
